They are also intending to disable 'basic auth' in things like exchange and IMAP to force customers to use 
something like certificate or smartcard login instead.

OAuth seems to be talked about a lot as the solution to everything by Microsoft.



But for CVSNT we could use this same language to talk about moving away from 'cvs login' (pserver and sips 
are both culprits here).
