Description:  fork protocol fails with 2.8.x (Suite 2009) 'Unknown command: `server'

The 'server' command has been replaced with the 'preload' command.  Is there a way to make this work 
with fork?  I don''t think the cvsproxy is a solution here - that would require a cvsnt preload server already 
running...
