Bug 5736 describes a case where CVS/Entries cannot be read/written - I wonder 
if we applied the same 'fix' we used for bug 5527 if we could improve the 
reliability?

CVS/Entries file.

We've not had a subsequent report of this, so it's not currently considered a very high priority.
